-gary's guitar set's at cabin chat's- all the songs especcially the classics-"Lying sleeping on the floor" and "your musics not right" and then the americanised radio hit version of 500 miles in the style of eddie vedder.

500 miles at staff dance, in the van runs, at ala, in the cabin.

"nobody told me it'd be soo good" darius seasion 4- a camper asking me and gary if he could buy that in the shops- after the camper had been singing along to the whole song whilst playing air guitar on the broom!

Has to be 2nd session time off i shared with Reece and Steve, we ended up getting a motel room in Hyannis - in which we duly ended up in a drunken state. The next morning as Reece and Steve are still sleeping - there is a knock at the door and standing there is this 19 stone and 7ft monster wanting to know how we managed to break our room's window. At this point the guy is getting angry whilst im badly hungover - trying to work out how we broke the window. It turns out we left keys in room and Steve decided to break in!!!!! Unforgetable!

Another one - does anyone remember "Happy Tricertops" day? Think back to Trevor during staff meeting at end of 1st session!!!

Cheers, Gregg

El, you inspired me to dust off the cover of the infamous journal to look up some of the stuff from that first week that I'd forgotten:

That first night in the cabin with dan walking through and opening the other door was classic - and that was also the night I first went to the diary room and you shouted 'who goes you decide!' loud enough to have woken everyone up in that CIT cabin. We've also got to put down here the navigator song medley in Staff Training (the sound file is coming soon...); anyway, also remembered:

-physical skills group 2: nature walk - alan's classic descriptions of the apple as part of aimee's 'test your senses' exercise - 'hmm, the texture seems to be very interesting, and the contours of the shape are intriguing....' Little did I know then that that was just alan.

-spilling water all over Sean during a game of uno, soaking him totally...

-the power cut/el's 'apocalypse now' syndrome

-El, all i can say is 'de de de, de-du-de-duuuu' - you know the tune you played me that morning on the walkman (sorry to everyone else this will make no sense, at least I hope it won't!)

-Smirnoff Ice's all round at the Ocean Grill

-The Epic Exhibition Table Tennis Match with Gary, even better than last year, and even more catchphrases and falling over

-Steve: remember Joey's 'It's in the blooooood'?

-MiniGolf at changeover (the lobster pot!)

-the TGI waitress, the stolen water and the loyalty card

-Six in a taxi; and being wheeled round hoyts ciname car park in a marshalls trolley

-ALA Rehearsals and Arguments (sound file on its way...)

-The Goonies' party on the island, followed by walking the plank

-joe: all I can say is 1) frank spencer 2)liza minelli (that's the most random memory ever, but it was one of the funniest things I've ever experienced)

-singing 'King of the Road' on the van runs.

-"you guys were f%&*ing AWESOME" - Duck Inn 2002

-"you know why it's hard to swim? It's the waves." (1st changeover - yarmouth beach)

-Drip Drip Drop with Kiwanis Session 4 after our boys had the 'best dance ever' two nights before - testosterone in the 12 year olds? - you'd better believe it.

-Painting the Pioneers

-M&P Barbecue - maybe not as funny as El's bodyslam from '01, but the 'photo opportunity' was still pretty funny.

-"100 laps round the cabin"- Elliot entertains at specialty checkout

-Ailsa's hood in drenched 'Kandy Korner' ice cream run - one of the funniest things i've ever seen in my life.

-gotta stop now, i've started reading the journal again, and realised how long i've been typing here! And sorry these are time-off related - lots won't make sense to more than a few people, but I suppose memories are always like that...

Next up - "Dont try and tell me directions in my own city" Dan to Pete. Also the "Special Brew man"!!

"The sherrif"

Berti Vogts aka the drunken old git!!

The best one - Big Pete getting kicked out of a pub and going home in a totally paralytic state, not even getting to the game!

gregg you forgot some of the scotland game memories i only remember casue i was writing them down!

Dan story of how he got pulled over in his car by the police in front of his new (gold standard) girlfriend and her mate, and acting completely composed- "they were well impressed" he proclaimed, at exactly the same time as sending flying across the floor a large drinks promotion thing that happened to be in the middle of the table prior to his tony blair style hand gesture.- henceforth dan earned the nickname swift for a good ten minutes

me and gregg discussing the fact that after 4 hours drinking we only had another 3 left until the game and me noting that our current run rate would only allow about another 6 pints- at which point Gregg reasures me we can just have a pint every 10 mins

meeting gregg in the station - within 5 mins he was predicting i'd be the first to get thrown out of the scotland game for shouting anti english comments (clearly joking about my true nature then) but this inspired my first new sing along song of the day that we started up just after being told to stop singing berti vogtts songs- in traditional camp style the song had a clear message behind it, and was also repetative and therefore easy to remember, and taken from a precious moment that we captured in time. All you had to do was repeat :"thrown out, were gonna get thrown out, were gonna get thrown out were gonna get thrown out, thrown out........

these meomories were left by eL, who is currently STILL trying to give up drinking and therefore promotes the use of alcohol in no way whatsoever.

-steps gold- so many hits, an ideal stocking filler-I'm sure it could now be picked up second hand as a result o people no realising the dancing possibilities, and the strike rate of hits puts aussi cricket to shame- (me failing to slag english cricket-I'm still trying to convince people thats who i support)

- deciding were having a reunion in edinburgh, on valantines day

-singing the unedited country road alan stewart version whilst nearly sober- a song that must have some milage in it as whilst strolling around a highly concentrated amsterdam tourist area we heard country road beaming out- walked past as the partying looked great but i was to concerned about the cost of a pint.

El,

I can't believe your blasphemies! How can you have sung the alan stewart cover version 'nearly sober' having already been drinking from 12 til 8?!!!! And as for my nocturnal squirreling, what can I say? I WAS bored, but no changing of clothing actually took place - it was a good gag though. In the words of someone (I forget who), I think you'd better tell everyone you're joking, just in case....

Another great memory was the look on ailsa's face when presented with almost a pint of baileys in the brown family kitchen, and wondering how she was going to down it and still get to the party without needing to be carried onto the minibus.

not to mention: "I'll...i'll...i'll....have to call you back" - A Davy classic.

and El at the airport bar-

Barman: "Would you like to try the new black smirnoff ice?"

El: "No....Unless you're going to do us a deal. Preferably in Euros".

-"Man United's Season is Over. Fact" - El, if they win the league, you've got to buy all of the drinks next time I see you. With your own money. I can't think of a worse punishment for you than that.

pete. :)

ps. -"Where's Elvis in that jumpsuit?"

2002-2004?!!!! That's the longest tennis match known to man, and you know we'd only play another 6 games in 2004! It might end up literally the match of the decade, finishing in 2010. Which would be great! That scorcher of a day was a classic memory in itself, it was the same day as the floating lifejacket experiment, the amazing southern fried chicken platter at hayward (therein lies the value of keeping a journal)....

This is a memory that will never leave me. Camp is a place where you meet the greatest people in the world. Both male and female. As of right now May 31st I am single. In a way it is good but in another way it is one of the biggest mistakes that I have made in my life and there is not one day that I don't regret it. KG I will always love you no matter what happens. You are the first girl that I have ever loved like that and I hope you never forget that. I truly hope that some day we do get back together, what I said in December was completly true if I was older and had a good job I would have already proposed to you but the way the shit falls that did not happen but I don't regret a thing because meeting you and being with you Ican say is one of the greatest things that ever happened to me . Whenever I look into the sky I will always search for the teapot princess. I love you -Chris. This is amemory I will never forget one of the greatest memories out there, Falling in Love. Don't go lookin it will always come to find you.

-"Morning"

-El: "Pete, whats that building?" - Pete: 'No idea' (x5000)

-the Tracy Chapman busker guy, fantastic!

-The boy shouting 'urrrrrggggghhhhh' during the love scene in "Fame" - biggest round of applause in the whole performance - especially from mr. young.

man u? i made a mistake master wise one. fact.

here are the results of the reunion memories.

upon being approached about buying a buscars classical music C.D... "would you like to buy a c.D?'" "Noowe"

he's playing exactly the same set! it is a good one though. this atmosphe is excellent brillant awesome amazing spot on etc x10. esp in compariosn to fame- which we got to see twice as a result of the second half being exactly the same as the first. a hilarious comedy though!- cheers. THE SUNDAY TIMES- 4* out of 5*

the pete wilson tour of london "i come in here all the time" "I don't know where i'm going" "I tend to just go to the same places and know my way around them." I'm going to start coming here more often. "I really like covent garden. I don't know how to get there."

Me wearing a england shirt for establishing diplomatic and cultural unity, (Dan didn't have to wear one, as he's 50% english anyways. 16% italian 4 % horse meat) then being approached to swap shirt with a pissed sweaty nutter trying to engage me in conversation about how great england were, and asking if he could kiss the three lions and wondering why i wasn't so quick to do like wise. me trying but failing to answer without giving away my identity. him sussing and apply naming me a sweaty jock, before puzzling me about weather i believed in Jesus, and wondering if i'd like to buy tickets to our house. we avoided being robbed hit and spat on by this guy, which was nice, but his recipitating attempts at cultural unity meant we had to splash out on a cab as we missed the train, Although we were still able to catch our flight home. Cultural unity and leasions were learnt by all.

although "i thought you were gonna have to hit him"

the cardiff hotel. the room for 6 in the basement. the wallpaper falling of the walls which could all be touched from the middle of the room, the debate as to what the smell was, the realisation, that yes i think it probably is dampness. open the window, get some fresh air in, can any one smell gas? actually maybe you should should shut that!

the closet bathroom which we all had to step out of.

is that a mouse or a rat?

alans tour of London- the themes walking tour pete took notes for next time!

meeting allans thai bride

a huge plate of chilly and warm welcome to east dulwhich

pete wilsons 4a.m stage props for comodey genius, the packet of crisps, opt cite montreal and belfast squirelling.

El: After popular demand, here is the poodle joke.

Three dogs are sitting in a pub. Then a young collie walks in, and the dogs all say 'oh my word......look at her.....'. She walks over to the three dogs, and says: 'if one of you can put the words liver and cheese into one sentence, i'll go out with you tonight'. So the labrador says 'I hate liver and cheese' - she looks at him and says 'nah, that's pathetic, no chance'. Then the poodle says 'Well, I love cheese, and I love liver'. Again she looks at him and says 'no way, that's terrible'. Suddenly the doberman growls 'look lads, just liver alone. cheese mine.'

(you had to be there.)
